Vice Mayor Kaufer’s Veterans Memorial Proposal Approved

Family, Friends, and Neighbors,

I continue to be honored to serve our community on the town council. I am excited to let you know that last week the town council approved my proposal that a Veterans Memorial be designed and constructed in Jupiter. In fact, due to the support and enthusiasm shown by many of you, this project was the first strategic initiative agreed upon by the council at the strategic planning meeting. I am grateful to have received so much support for the creation of this public space to thank and remember all of our veterans whose dedication and sacrifice to our country enable us to live with the freedoms we continue to enjoy today.

The town staff will now put together an action plan for this project that engages the public, including local veterans groups and organizations, to design a lasting and meaningful public space dedicated to these brave men and women. Thank you all so much for your support and I look forward to working with all of you to create this important memorial.
